Lovely! What are you using to color your drawings? I'm using acrylic paint on mine, but am just curious as to what others are doing.
Well...I am using watercolor, some acrylic, some colored pencil and have recently had a mishap with some just plain old markers. It was an amatuer mistake that I will have to see if I can make work. Most of the times when I do molys I use watercolor and colored pencil.
Sounds like you're using a little bit of everything! I usually paint in watercolor for my regular work, but was afraid that the paper on the moly book wouldn't be able to hold up, so decided on acrylic instead. Sounds like I shouldn't worry too much about that. Can't wait to see your finished work!
Don't be too afraid with working with the paper in the moly it can take some abuse pretty well. I have used everything from water color, ink, pencils, coffee and burning, ripping pages and they all have had no problem taking the abuse. ... working with water color is a little tricky as you have to work it into the paper a bit for it to take and I find that it works best not using too much water that you may normally use with water color paper.Good luck everyone!
Yes ma'am - I do use a bit of everything. Michael is right - the paper in the moly holds up pretty well to abuse and is a little tricky when working with water color. You just have to experiment - the paper does not react the way watercolor paper would and the same color can look different on different areas of the page. It can work for you or against you depending on the look you are trying to accomplish.
Thanks for the tips guys. I've only been using Moleskin sketchbooks for a few months and haven't experimented with much besides pencil and markers.
